Palm-rest digitizer and pen
ThinkPad W700 mobile workstations offer a 120cm x 80cm Wacom palm-rest digitizer and pen, ideal for digital content creation and CAD/CAM applications. The digitizer can be configured to map to the entire screen or a user-defined area, and is compatible with a wide range of applications, from Windows Paint to Adobe Photoshop.
Data protection
The airbag-like Active Protection System on ThinkPad W500/W700 models help safeguard your valuable data. The Active Protection System is an integrated, motion sensor that continuously monitors your ThinkPad notebook and temporarily stops the hard drive to help prevent some hard drive crashes when a fall or knock is detected. The ThinkPad HDD Shock Absorber provides impact protection from crashes that could occur when setting the notebook on a hard surface while in use - providing up to 30% more protection.
The ThinkPad Roll Cage protects critical system components against accidents or jolts with a magnesium alloy frame that surrounds the interior parts, absorbing shock and helping to reduce failures and improve durability and reliability.
